Custom Machined Parts and modifications
Custom Tooling
We designed and made this die punch jig for a company that produces LED light strip kits. 
The customer needed these two oval shaped copper connections exposed from underneath the silicone of the light strip. 
Previously they were cutting the silicone out by hand with a razor blade and picking it out with tweezers. 
So we designed and made this jig to scrape the silicone off the copper. 
The steel rod hinges on the brass and comes down like a gate acting as a stop for the cylindrical feature in the light strip and locating the end to be cut under the die. 
All of the moving parts that rub against each other are made of steel and brass so that the surfaces don’t get damaged over time. 
The dies are held in an adjustable head where the knurled lock nuts can be unlocked and the threaded cylinder that holds the dies can be moved up and down by spinning the lock nut. 
We made this die punch jig for a customer that molds rubber parts. It needed to have a very low profile head to fit into a tight space of an accordion shaped rubber part and punch a hole for mounting. 
This is a rubber slug that was punched out in a test. 
We designed and made this die punch fixture for a company that produces rubber parts. They needed to punch two holes in their parts after molding. previously they were punching these holes by hand and having parts rejected for inconsistency. This tool greatly improved efficiency and accuracy of their production of these parts. 
In this case our customer is a hobby wood worker and he was working an a bowl project. He wanted a tool that he could spin in his drill press and leave behind domes. He would then remove all the material in between the domes so that the outside surface of the bowl would be made entirely of domes with valleys in between them.
Industrial Repairs
This indexable carbide end mill was run in reverse accidentally and when it contacted the work piece it caused a massive amount of damage. 
The original carbide insert holders where to far gone. So we made all new ones by taking measurements off the cutter head and the damaged insert holders. 
The carbide insert nests into the 60 degree angle and the walls are also tapered.

The press fit bearing race on this shaft wore out so we machined it down made a sleeve and heat shrunk it on the the shaft then machined it down to be a press fit bearing race. 
Fabrication and Welding
We helped a customer design custom fence brackets and post caps for his idea to mount crystal balls on top of his new black locust wood fence. We also fabricated the footings that mount the posts to the concrete and the T shaped brackets that connect the posts. 
Here you can see the T shaped brackets (the T part is behind the horizontal beams) that also wrap around the vertical post.

Our customer had a boat lift that was too narrow for his boat and had a great simple idea to put something in between the straps to spread them out. 
We worked with him to determine the best way to widen his boat lift so that it stops crushing the side of his boat. 
so we came up with a design where we welded machined plates onto the ends of large alum square tubing. Then machined more plates with the same hole pattern so we could clamp the strap between the plates on the ends of the beam so they wouldn’t fall.

We designed and fabricated new sign frames for a customer after his were vandalized. These ones are made from solid steel and have footings at the bottom with holes in them so they can be mounted directly to concrete. The signs are inserted from the bottom so once they are bolted down the sign cant be taken out. 
This is a harmonic pendulum that we helped our customer build for burning man. We fabricated the hangers for the axel, threaded the steel rods that hang down, and taped the bowling balls to mount onto the rods.

This is a fixture we made to hold the bowling balls that were purchased with no finger holes in them. We used the fixture to drill and tap a large hole so the ball could be mounted on the end of a steel rod that we also threaded for the harmonic pendulum project. 
We also made a threaded ring (on top of the ball) that acts as a lock nut so the balls can be adjusted up and down to change the frequency of the swing of each ball until the desired pattern is achieved.
